Maria was born and raised in San Diego. She began gymnastics at the age of 3 at Aztec Gymnastics, where she competed all the way up to Level 8. From there she began All Star Cheer where she competed on Junior 5 for West Coast Mavericks, winning UCA Nationals in Florida in 2005 and 2006. She also was a cheerleader in high school at Academy of Our Lady of Peace in San Diego for 4 years, where she was Captain her Senior year. Maria won the All-American Award 4 years in a row at NCA camp, where she was also voted Best Tumbler all 4 years. She is a San Diego State University cheerleader, where she attends school and is currently working on her general education.
Growing up in El Centro, California, Kathleen Calvin has always loved Performing. She spent summers during high school performing children's theatre in Missoula Montana as well as advanced acting camps for Lambs Players in National City. Since graduating high school, she has performed in many shows throughout San Diego as a professional singer dancer and actress. Previous Credits: The Book of the Dun Cow, An American Christmas (Lambs Players Theatre); Miss Saigon, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Wizard of Oz, Ragtime, My Fair Lady, Nine, The Pajama Game (Starlight Theatre); Miss Saigon, Hairspray (Moonlight Theatre); Aida (Performance Riverside). This winter she graduated at California State University Fullerton with a degree in Theatre. She is grateful to be on the staff of CDC and is thankful for her family and Friends for their love and support.
