USD Game

We’re excited to share an incredible opportunity; our cheerleaders have been invited to perform during halftime at the University of San Diego (USD) college football game!

Date: Saturday, November 15th
Time: 12:30pm-3:00pm
(Performer call time is 12:30pm, game starts at 1:00pm, half-time performance at approximately 1:45/2:00pm, done by 3:00pm)
Location: University of San Diego (USD) Torero Stadium located at 5998 Alcala Park Way, San Diego

This is a fantastic chance for our cheerleaders to shine on the field in front of a spirited college crowd; it’s sure to be a memorable and fun-filled experience!

Participation is completely optional, but we’d love to see as many of our cheerleaders there as possible. If your child is unable to attend, no worries—they will still get to perform at our end-of-session showcase during the final class of the session.

Important Information

What To Wear

Cheerleaders:

Tee or tank that is solid white,

black leggings/athletic pants/or shorts,

any color tennis shoes/sneakers,

hair pulled back with a blue cheer bow (girls)

(or sweatband set for boys) we will provide at the game.

*We recommend decorate your child's tees at home prior to the performance to make your child easier to spot on the field.

Tickets

When you drop your cheerleader off, you will receive one free ticket for your cheerleader.

ALL FAMILY AND FRIENDS ATTENDING THE GAME TO WATCH YOUR CHILD PERFORM WILL NEED TO PURCHASE A TICKET ONLINE IN ADVANCE IN ORDER TO GET INTO TORERO STADIUM TO WATCH THE HALF-TIME PERFORMANCE.

*ONLY parent volunteers are permitted to wait in the plaza area with students.

Volunteers

If you’d like to volunteer, please be sure to email us at Charlenesdancencheer@gmail.com include your name, your child’s name/age, and the school site/community center you are from.

As these emails are being sent out, please note that our team is receiving an influx of emails during this time please allow us respond within 24-48 hours.

Once parent volunteers are at capacity we will send out an email and text as well as update this website.

Upon Arrival

Look for hot pink t-shirts!
After parking in the parking structure

(map will be provided in the next few weeks) proceed up the hill adjacent to the Torero Football Stadium where you will see our team of instructors/greeters in hot pink t-shirts at the gates to the right of the upper culdesac at the top of the hill, directing you to the plaza area. Our instructors/greeters will escort your child to their designated line, where we will stage and rehearse prior to the performance. Each line will be assigned a color and a number.

Before Arrival

Please take your child to the restroom PRIOR to drop off at Jenny Craig loading dock. This will ensure a smooth transition leading up to the performance as there may be 45 min of time where bathroom breaks will NOT be available.

Dismissal

You will note that on the back side of the free ticket, there will be a colored dot indicating what line you will wait in to pick up your cheerleader after the performance.

We ask that you please line up in a single file line in front of our instructors holding signs with the color and line number for your convenience!

Dismissal is done line by line, ensuring that every cheerleader is accounted for, so please be patient!

ADDITIONALLY, WE ASK THAT ONLY ONE PARENT OR FAMILY MEMBER REPRESENTATIVE PER CHILD COME TO THE DISMISSAL AREA TO PICK UP YOUR PERFORMING CHILD TO LIMIT WALKWAY TRAFFIC/CONGESTION AND CONFUSION AND HELP SAFELY STREAMLINE THIS PROCESS.

Rain or Shine

The half-time performance will take place rain or shine. In the event that weather conditions do not permit us to use the outdoor plaza area for staging or USD has an outdoor spacing conflict, please refer to our back-up staging area
